Here is a list of my favorite concerts and stories for children from way back when! Although teaching virtually is not ideal, it does give us an opportunity to share examples of what we love! There is everything from the Muppets to carol King’s “Really Rosie”.

  1. Really Rosie ~ I love this story! It hints at what it might have been like growing up in New York in the ’70. …and of course, Carol King is an amazing song writer!!
  2. Raffi children’s concert ~ Although it is clearly from the 80’s, his songs are classic! Kids will love to sing along!
  3. Steve Martin and Kermit the Frog Dueling Banjos~ This is so much fun and an opportunity to showcase the banjo!
  4. Muppet Show Elton John “Crocodile Rock” ~ The costumes make this one!
  5. The Muppet’s “Lime in the Coconut” ~ I love how the Muppets take songs we love and make them fun for kids!
  6. Schoolhouse Rock: Grammar – Conjunction Junction Music Video ~ ….because you know we had to include this one!!
  7. Ernie’s Rubber Ducky ~ …another classic!
  8. Elmo and Bocelli ~ A beautiful lullaby!
  9. Carnival Of The Animals ~ I like this version the best. I feel like it keeps the integrity of the music while being entertaining.
  10. JUST FOR TEACHERS! BONUS: Pachelbel Rant ~ for all the string players in the group! This makes me laugh every time!

Please let us know of any videos you have been sending to your kids! We would love to see them and share them!
